Record Negatives
Record Negatives came out of an interest in information stored within record grooves. By covering records in glue, letting the glue dry, then peeling the dried glue off the record, the glue becomes the negative imprint of the record. The negative glue imprint is playable on a standard turntable. The sounds are now backwards and their grooves are upside-down. The clearest example of this phenomenon is a record negative of frogs croaking which can be heard below:
